I admit it. I am a geek. And a nerd. And thoroughly in love with all things sci-fi. I started my love affair in the 4th grade reading Ray Bradbury's The Million-Year Picnic. I still love science fiction, both written and on the screen. One of my more current favorites is The Matrix franchise. I enjoyed the Terminator series as well. Both of these series contemplate the complete takeover of the planet earth by sentient computers. But how could that happen? Are there not laws governing how computers interact with humans? Had somehow, in these dystopian futures, Isaac Asimov's Laws of Robotics never been created?
Inspired by The Matrix and the lines and lines of code streaming down the computer screen as Neo and Trinity and Morpheus dove into the world of the matrix created by the sentient computers that had taken over earth and enslaved humanity, I have created a mug aimed directly at any rouge robots you might encounter in daily life.
The mug clearly states the First Law of Robotics in binary code, so any robot you come in contact with will clearly understand their place in the human controlled world.
"A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm."
